SMS Giveaway Day!

It’s that time again! SMS giveaway day!

I’m about to start another compacting kick so recycling/upcycling is on my mind. In a sentence, compacting is a predetermined period of time in which you do not purchase anything new except food (and I include t.p. too). It’s amazing how much stuff you find when you’re forced to use only what you have!

#1. I read through Amanda Blake Soule’s Handmade Home: Simple Ways to Repurpose Old Materials into New Family Treasures again this week and I’d like to pass it on for the next family to use. I am including a vintage 60 X 80 cotton tablecloth with 7 napkins as a project starter, pattern mock-up, or reusable cleaning toweling.


#2. Were you hoping for fabric? How about this Sew You, Sew Fun Too from RJR fabrics charm pack with bright florals & geometrics I found hidden in the linen drawer?



#3. Long quarters of Marcia Derse fabrics. The green on the left is from the Streamline collection and the two on the right are from the Gerta collection.

Contest ends at midnight, CST, May 25. Winners picked by random on May 26 and notified by email. SMS rules state that prizes must be sent out by May 30 so check your email or forfeit your prize, dahlings!

    Love the book! They are all lovely, but I think I would get the most long-term good out of the book :) Um, random fact about myself: I used to have what can only be described as a shrine to Star Wars in my room . . . I was a total fanboy, except, you know, like a girl, from about 11-16. NERD ALERT! Thanks for the chance!

    I love number 2 - the fabric.

    I would love to have the Handmade Home book and the tablecloth set. A random fact is I collect tablecloths. Every kind I can get my hands on, vintage or not, vinyl or not, beautiful or not...LOL...I love to turn them into bags, skirts, pillows. I even turned one into a bed skirt for my DD.     I got that book from the library and loved it. Good luck on the compacting...great idea! Random fact: on my 16th birthday, I learned that I'd always spelled my middle name wrong. Mom stitched a sampler for the occasion and spelled it "Michele", not with two Ls like I always did!
